Digg Autobury, Is TechCrunch on The List Now?

I doubt it especially since the last front page article that Techcrunch had was submitted by none other than Kevin Rose himself 11 days ago. By the way I’m not sure if anyone notices this, but Kevin has a 100% made popular rating out of the 329 Digg stories he’s submitted.

But I think Digg needs to err on the side of transparency here. When a moderator gives a story an assist, or holds it back, users deserve to know what’s happened, and why. Otherwise, conspiracy theories about “super users” will continue to circulate.

Quoting ValleyWag here about Digg superusers. Granted the top diggers do have a fairly high percentage of getting to the front page on Digg, but to have someone hit the front page with 100% seems a little suspicious even though he is the one in charge if Digg. I’m sure only needing 24, 56, or 88 Diggs for front page is normal for other users too. Superusers do exist at Digg, and if we look hard enough we may find others.

So why the topic title? A post from TechCrunch the other day caught my eye. With all the recent posts about some big bloggers like copyblogger now on the autobury list, I thought it would be amusing if Kevin’s friend Michael Arrington’s site got on the list too. After reading some things about the Digg algorithm changes, and also reading about the TechCrunch post being buried after only 1 bury I thought it might have been a possibility that the site may have been added to the autobury list.

That is until I saw the Kevin Rose submission for a TechCrunch post.  The post probably got buried for spam  since it contained the words Ron Paul.  Which is also why this post will probably never get on Digg’s front page either.  Come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve have anything from this domain submitted to Digg yet.

Page Rank Updated For Free Blog Review Sites List

lfg_cale1Short post, but just FYI for those of you who haven’t signed up for some free reviews from my list of free blog reviews. I recently updated each site with their new Page ranks as of the January 2008 update. Its funny that the page ranks came out so fast this quarter, but I DID mention that there was funny stuff going with the SERPs back in mid December that many webmasters were talking about.

Any ways if your a blogger that offers free blog reviews, or know of a blog that does free reviews, please e-mail me the site so I can add it to my list.
