Update: Shopkick 80 Free Facebook Credits

I just wanted to post a short update for Shopkick users on a way to get 2000 free Shopkick points (valued at 80 Facebook Credits or $8 Best Buy Gift Card), that I seemed to have stumbled upon while using this neat little mobile phone app. If you don’t want to install a phone app, and would like to earn free Facebook credits instead go here.
Since there were many of you readers that went and installed Shopkicks using my referral link here. I’ve been gifted with a few users, so thank you very much all you readers! I was however very surprised to see that after about 3 or so new people joining Shopkick under me, that I was awarded with 2000 points for inviting people to the app itself.
I was trying to find documentation on this reward from the Shopkick help page, but it didn’t mention anything about this reward. After a little tinkering on my phone however I did find a little blurb in the ‘invite a friend’ area that states:
You get:
When 3 or more friends join shopkick you get 2,000 kicks!
So I’m not sure if after your first 3 you can receive more or not, but for those of you who did sign up to Shopkicks to earn free Facebook credits, do take advantage of this offer.
How to invite friends to Shopkicks:
- 1. Tap on your profile in shopkick (“Me” or your first name”), then on Invite Friends.
- Select a person to invite
- Send a txt message with your referral link.
The message will appear as below:
Hi it’s Mitch! I gave you 50 kicks on shopkick, a fun app that lets you earn rewards for shopping. http://get.shopkick.com/REFERRAL_NUM
That last URL is your referral link. You can copy paste it in chat or e-mail to your friends, but do be responsible, and not spam everyone with this link.
