I am not surprised at all that women are standing out in the crowd. They were always supposed to do that, don’t you think? I didn't play video games growing up, but my now-husband and I have been playing video games together since we started dating eight years ago. For us, it's a social activity - a common interest we can do together. Granted, there are certain games he loves that I don't enjoy, but I've been known to at least sit and watch him as he plays Resident Evil (it's almost like watching a movie!). I’m a girl gamer too! I’ve been a gamer for 18 years–that was back in the Sega Genesis days! I used to play with Barbie dolls but ended up collecting games instead.
