Warhammer Online – Warlock Peenk Down!

I doubt it was the first time he has been killed, but Wardb doesn’t even haven’t even him listed yet. Tonight we killed Skiv Redwarp, and Warlock Peenk which are located in the Warpblade Tunnels underneath the auction house in Altdorf(The Mastiff’s End). Unfortunately there were no tome unlocks though, and we’re locked out of that wing of the Warpblade Tunnels now for 3 days. However we did get some nice Sentinel Boots for our Swordmaster, Bright Wizard, and White Lion.
I think the Skiv Redwarp fight outside was harder than the actual boss at the end, but since there’s a barrier that only goes away after you kill Skiv Redwarp we had to go through him. He was pretty nasty as he would randomly go stealth, and backstab a healer at random for 12k damage. After quite a few wipes, he went down with some luck, and well getting bugged out somehow on a pixel.
After all that trouble too all he dropped was one lousy blue: A Sentinel Defender for our Ironbreaker. Yea our party was somewhat disheartened at that, but it was new loot, and a bit of progression. Atleast now that magical barrier was down so we could continue our journey onward.
Moving on we went on to immediately find a 43 Hero by the name of Warlock Peenk, which wasn’t listed on Wardb either. He’s in this room with a ton of Skaven mines like you see in Grovod Caverns RvR Scenario under the bridges. Screenshot here of him and the mines:
Basically he occasionally drops a bomb that can explode for 2k damage, and knocks back. Or he will ‘infuse’ you with Warp Energy. Once you are ‘infused’ with energy any bomb near you will blow up. The good news is though that new bombs don’t respawn. So once you clear out the bombs on the area that he’s standing on, the only bombs that appear are the ones that he drops onto the tank. So as long as the whole group has their backs to the wall the knock backs won’t affect you or your healers too much. Needless to say, compared to Skiv Redwarp this boss was cake.
So getting down to the loots, we got 3 pairs of Sentinel boots:
Some Sentinel Solerets, Sentinel Shinsteels, and a new one for Wardb the Bright Wizard’s Sentinel Ashboots.

Hopefully they do something about the +62 willpower that comes with the set for BRIGHT WIZARDS. Or the 3/4 piece setbonus which looks more like tank stats than anything else. Oh well though, atleast we know where the boot set piece for the Sentinel set is now.

Those are some sick set bonuses… isn’t +62 willpower just a liiiiitle bit too much?

Not really. Considering most greens have +25-30 of a main stat on them. Also considering these boots are for Bright Wizards who’s main stat is int not willpower.
The other set bonuses looks like it will benefit tanks more than anything. Though armor bonus would be nice to handle AOE pulls. Hopefully Mythic will fix the boots to have +62 int instead.

It tried WH a while ago after being burnt out on WOW…I didn’t take to it immediately but I have friends that are trying to convince me to give it another chance. Don’t know if getting in to another mmo is the best idea for me right now, been a while since I’ve seen the sun…

when you say you were able to get the boss ‘bugged out on a pixel’ what do you mean? I’ve not been able to kill Skiv Redwarp yet because he is most certainly bugged. Can you elaborate on any kind of strategy to down this boss? Honestly anything will help because we cant get him past 80% hp without it saying ‘target not attackable’. Thanks.
He bugs out in quite a few areas really. The rock at the top of the ramps (a healer can sit there and reset him)
Facing towards him on the right hand side if you pull him from the ramp he bugs out sometimes on that side hill. However he manages to get himself unstuck around 60-70% health.
On those wooden logs supporting the bridge he can be stood upon he bugs out as well.
thanks for the help, it seems like they have fixed this boss. we managed to down it on our third or fourth try. our rune priest got his boots from the final boss too (who’s a total joke). good guide on how to down these bosses, and thanks again!
Thanks Neph,
Were you able to down the boss in the other Warpblade tunnel instance? The duo of level 43 Heroes? Our group tried that last night, and we kept wiping since he would enrage before the fight even starts, and even with 2 healers, we couldn’t keep the tank up. I think the guy’s name was Master Moulder Skrot, and Brauk. Our tanks got 4 wards already, and doesn’t take much damage at all, but that boss just hits too hard.
