Warhammer Online – Server Transfers Starts Up Next Week

This interesting tidbit came up in the Warhammer Online Herald today. They will be allowing free server transfers for people, and or whole guilds possible as early as next week.

Folks,

Over the last few weeks the team has implementing a transfer system to allow both players and guilds to move between our servers. This technology was not available for WAR at launch and building it has proven to be a little more complex than originally expected. I’m happy to say that starting next week we will begin public testing of the service and if things go well, we will be able to offer it free to our players (for a limited time) either next week or the week after that. I apologize for the delay in making this service available but again, it did take a little longer than we originally expected.

We will be posting details next week about the public test and then the parameters for the free service.

This should alleviate some of the dead servers so that they can move to a higher pop server, or for those people tired of waiting in queus on a high pop server to move their characters off of it. All in all I think it is a much needed step.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m pretty happy on Azazel as Order, though I do wish our Destruction counterparts would show themselves more in open world RvR. They just seem to capture points, and then when Order shows up, they pack up and move to the next zone. Its like we’re playing an eternal game of cat and mouse.

Anyone here planning on moving off of their servers? If so which server will you be heading to, and why are you moving off?
