Definitely agree. I've already started seeing more Runepriests stacking int/toughness in the tier 4 area. I've been playing in the tier 4 alot lately since my Rune priest is 33 now.

When there's enough healers I'll do full dps, and I'm usually second to bright wizards. One game I did break 100k damage, but the bright wizards all had 150-200k. I don't know what kind of skills I'll get later on, but I'll be happy if I get another damage spell.

You zealots have this aoe pulse buff that pushes people away. What is that spell called? I wonder if I get the same thing later on.

I couldn't agree more. Our class seems to be shaping out to be THE healer. Which is really a bummer because Mythic never intended it to be that way. We just don't have a mechanic like shaman/archmage that rewards damage with healing and reverse. I have been reading on Warhammeralliance.com in the zealot section and I have seen the ending stats of a scenario where a zeal specced in AoE was able to dish out 120k dmg! This was a 40k margin from the nearest Sorc! Given her healing was like 10k, but still. I am predicting a trend, perhaps a year from now where the zealot is going to be respected as a damage power house. Much in the sense how Shadow Priests from WoW were over looked, then once people saw their immense damage potential, everyone started rolling them.

Yea that harbringer spell required seems like a let down, and if I remember it right, you can only cast that hex on one person at a time or something.

Rune Priests have one called Rune of Cleaving. Its a 65ft aoe cone that is a DoT. I cast it most of the time, but usually I'm just channeling Rune of Burning, and casting a HoT here or there.

People complain when I don't heal them etc etc. I mean come on, I'll probably be a heal bot when I hit 40. Let me have my fun now!

Hey again!
Glad you read my guide to the Zealot! Of course the Vault had to dub it an "Overview" because I really didn't go into ANY specifics (guilty as charged).

See, this is truely the way to go! DPS healer class for leveling, and hording as much int gear as possible, I feel that a level 19 item with more int than a lvl 21 item with more def is the best strat. If someone is beating down on you that 20 def won't make a world of difference for our classes.

I have found that this channel spell of ours is great for PvE, but for the Zealot, the harbinger needs to be active on the opponent which is sort of lame since that adds an extra step to the process. But ya the damage is pretty stellar. ALSO , I have been getting an extra 20k of dmg at the end of scenerios for my cone DoT AoE called "Deamon Spittle." I am not sure what you have on your end, but since it is an insta cast I can spray that on 7 or 8 clumped togehter at a time and bring home some serious dps.

As far as the history of the zealot in beta we were so slow they eventually had to beef us up. For a while they weren't even worth playing.

I still don't quite feel like our (Rune + Zeal) damage in this game stack up quite enough yet.

Hi Exile, I think I've read your zealot guide before too.

I've been loving this spell too much I think. One of the last games in Tor-Anroc there was no bright wizards on so I ended being the top damage/killing blows. I bet the destruction team was like wtf that Runepriest did 70k damage in that game. With a dismal 10k healing haha.

I've stacked a bunch of int gear recently, and with 530ish int after buffs the spell ticks 6 times for 200 on tanks, and 300-500 on people. 2k damage for 60 action points is damn efficient.

I could have sworn in the beta that the zealots dot line was almost as powerful as the bright wizards damage output. Maybe they nerfed it too much?

Hey there, glad I found this article.

As a Zealot (your destruction cousin) I have found that our version (storm of ravens) is just a little weaker.. .but MAN does this pack a serious punch. The DPS / DOT line is the ONLY way to level, paired with divine fury tactic. Essentially we are hitting at about 200dmg per second. The only variation of this is that the zealot needs to have the harbinger present on the target in order to deal the damage, so that is one extra step. After looking at your dmg specs I really hope mythic does something to beef the zeal because right now we are second to your class as far as damage when really I feel like we should be on par.
