Warhammer Online Pet Peeve – Dwarf Mounts Are ANNOYING

Ever watch the scene in Dumb & Dumber where the guy asks, “Wanna hear the most annoying sound in the world?” Well yes, that was pretty annoying, but the dwarven mounts that us Dwarves get at level 20 in Warhammer Online is about on par as that scene. For some reason the first time I rode the Dwarven mount I though of that scene in the movie.
Why? Because it sounds like there’s a fly buzzing in your ear for the whole length of the trip. Here’s a link to a sound file of a Sea Knight helicopter. Now imagine that sound being played repeatedly whenever you ride your mount. I think the developers over at Mythic were having one too many pints of ale themselves when they created this mount.
Here I was happy that I had dinged level 20 on my Rune Priest in Warhammer Online. So off I go to Altdorf to pick up my Dwarf mount for 15 gold. Now I get spammed with this annoying sound where ever I go. I mean on top of the annoying sound the bloody thing is a flying contraption with NO place to put my dwarf’s ale! Why didn’t the devs make the dwarf mounts more like this thing:

My dwarf engineer is only level 6 so far. I was looking forward to the mount at level 20, but I guess a shouldn’t be that excited now.
