Farming gold in World of Warcraft is something I hate doing. I prefer making gold via Auction House as it takes less time. However some people who are in a rush to get their epic flying mounts, and will do both methods to speed things up a bit.
I used to raid quite often, however due to my real life work schedule I would always have to go on a waiting list to get into any raids. While I waited I was usually outside gathering herbs or mining stuff close by to at least think that I’m doing something productive. I found a few add ons to the World of Warcraft game that made gathering a little easier for me.

Would You Buy a $900 Mount For World of Warcraft?
My answer would be a quick ‘HELL NO’, but some people are willing to dish out that much or more. The above picture is the Ashes of Alar mount, which is an extremely rare drop. Teza from World of Raids reported that this mount went for an astonishing 190,000 gold on a Chinese server. No not a typo that’s 190,000 gold, enough to buy a guild of 30 players their Epic mount training costs. That’s not a small amount of chump change. Remember I was surprised when someone said they had they had made 58k gold when the season 3 Arena gear came out?

December Totals, Forgot November Too
Another month has passed, and its already time to bring up earnings. Funny thing about having posts sitting in drafts, and forgetting about them. I found that I’ve had like 5 posts carried over from my Blogger blog, that made it into this Wordpress one in draft form. Among them the November post, which I had apparently forgotten to post as well. So I’ll post both months earnings here.

World of Warcraft and Politics Dont Mix
The current buzz in the World of Warcraft world is the Ron Paul campaign march from Ironforge to Stormrage. Game politics had a interesting write up about the whole ordeal, and it looks like there was quite a showing. I’m glad that I don’t play on that server normally due to the fact that because of this march the queues to enter the otherwise quiet server was around 400 at the time of the march.
