Its Snowing in Maui, Hawaii Today!

If you guys didn’t know this already I live here on the island of Maui, Hawaii. When you think of Hawaii usually what comes to mind? Beaches, waves, surf, luaus, fire dancers, Hawaii Five-0, and maybe even Lilo & Stitch. The last thing that comes to mind is winter weather, and people getting snowed in. Well guess what, we got snow on Maui today. Its rather exciting since we haven’t had snowfall here on this island for quite sometime now. Yes snowfall makes The Maui News here since its such a big deal, and even a game-a-holic like me will come out of my hole to look at it. Snow is unusual, and while its completely off topic of what my blog is about. Its always nice to share whats going on in the world outside. What unusual news from your neck of the woods happened today for you readers?

Snow on Mauna Kea/Mauna Loa and hail at fairly low elevations.
@ Kris – I guess people are going to go snowboarding soon eh? Who’d a thought you could snowboard in Hawaii.
